Last year I became a mother and little did I know, my world would turn upside down! Although I had no idea of what was in store for me, I learnt three very important things that I would like to share with you.
The first thing I have learnt is to give each thing the importance it really has. Now that I have a son, I know that the most important thing is my son. I prioritize everything including my work in a way that helps me be more productive. I have been able to work in a calmer, focused and motivated manner by not overthinking too much and continue to try and manage my insecurities and fears.
The second thing I learnt is that, aspiring to progress in my professional career and being a mother at the same time is really hard in today’s time and age. I was determined that becoming a mother was not going to stop me from progressing in my career. I have personally invested a lot of time to make this happen. Working at Quest Global has made this possible for me through being provided flexible working arrangements. My determination and hard work paid off through a promotion as well. Our cultural values, “Care for People”, “Collaboration” and “Aspiration” was truly exemplified for me. Although, I am aware that a lot of women have to make a choice between their career and personal lives, I feel blessed that I had the opportunity and support from Quest Global to fulfil both.
The third thing is, taking care of people is not only a must for leaders but for everyone Collaborating, having respect for one another, having empathy and understanding the circumstances around us is fundamental to work in harmony.
It has come to our attention that scammers have tried to mislead people by fictitiously claiming to be employees of Quest Global or posing as authorized recruitment partners. These entities are misguiding job-seekers by promising well-placed roles with our company and asking candidates to pay for a certification course with a promise of reimbursement once they have joined. Kindly note, Quest Global conducts a formal interview process in our search for extraordinary people. We would NEVER ask candidates to pay for certifications at any stage of the recruitment process.
